Slovenia is one of Europe's top destinations for mountain biking, and Ljubljana stands out as a capital city that offers well-maintained mountain bike trails and trail parks close to the city centre. The vast forests around the city hide popular trails for local and foreign cyclists to enjoy the climbs, views of the city and refreshments by the Ljubljanica river.

The city boasts excellent infrastructure: groomed downhills, KoloParks (pump tracks), a BMX track and training areas provide riding opportunities for beginners and experienced riders alike. Ljubljana also hosts exciting events such as enduro, slopestyle and BMX competitions, as well as the Ljubljana MTB Weekend, a mountain bike festival that combines sport and fun.

Ljubljana not only impresses with its cycling opportunities, but is also an ideal base for exploring other cycling destinations around Slovenia.
