Škocjan Caves, Trieste and Piran

Visit the Škocjan Caves, one of the most beautiful natural sights of Slovenia, visit the coastal city of Trieste in Italy, and spend the afternoon in the most beautiful town on the Slovenian coast.

The Škocjan Caves carved out of limestone by an intermittent river, are listed as a natural UNESCO World Heritage Site. They are a spectacular underground world of gigantic dripstones, a subterranean river's rapids, and tiny little lakes. After taking a tour of the caves, you will visit Štanjel, a picturesque village of traditional stone-built Kras houses and narrow streets, renowned for its castle, and visit the charming coastal city of Trieste, where you will immediately find yourself in a melting pot of different cultures, nations, and religions.

You will end the day in one of the most photogenic cities in the Mediterranean when you visit Piran and encounter its rich history and culture. You will have the chance to explore the old town and admire the Venetian architecture, as well as the breathtaking views from the city walls.
