Visit the Škocjan Caves, one of the most beautiful natural sights of Slovenia, and taste some traditional specialities of the Kras region.
The Škocjan Caves carved out of limestone by an intermittent river, are listed as a natural UNESCO World Heritage Site. They are a spectacular underground world of gigantic dripstones, a subterranean river's rapids, and tiny little lakes. After taking a tour of the caves, you will visit Štanjel, a picturesque village of traditional stone-built Kras houses and narrow streets, renowned for its castle.
