Enter the fascinating and mysterious underground world of the Slovenian karst, where you can see the human fish in its natural environment.
The human fish, or proteus, is a 30 cm subterranean aquatic salamander that is both special and highly unusual. It can live up to 100 years in its natural habitat and can go without food for up to 14 years. A cave guide will take you underground to a karst cave where you will be able to see this unusual and very interesting animal. Seeing the human fish is definitely an experience and a memory you will keep for the rest of your life.
Price includes return transportation to Ljubljana, expert guidance in the cave, all required caving gear.
