Styria Wine tour

Discover the picturesque region of the Slovenian Styria and the city of Ptuj with its two thousand year old cellarage and wine making tradition.

In Ptuj, you will visit an outstanding wine cellar that takes pride in the most important and remarkable collection of aged vines in this part of Europe, which includes, among others, the oldest aged wine in Slovenia, dated 1917. At Ptuj Wine Cellar (Ptujska klet) you will indulge in wine tasting that will take you on a wine adventure where, accompanied by a home-made cold cut, you will encounter various types of wine – from fresh wine to quality wine with specific attributes (the so-called prädikat wines). After a guided tour of the oldest Slovenian city, you will visit a renowned winemaker in his wine shop in the city centre, where he will serve you his exquisite wines. To conclude the day, you will stop in Loče to see the once Carthusian vineyards, home of the excellent Pinot gris. You will enjoy dinner on the terrace overlooking the vineyards in the company of the extraordinary winemaker and his boutique grand-cru wines.

The price includes a return journey from Ljubljana, an expert guided tour, three wine tastings (19 samples all together), and a locally-sourced organic dinner.
