The Barbarism of Torture - guided tour

Take a tour of the exhibition The Barbarism of Torture in the company of two costumed guides, an executioner and a woman accused of witchcraft, and learn about the history of Ljubljana Castle.

The Barbarism of Torture exhibition brings together replica torture devices used in judicial proceedings from the 16th to the 18th century. To get a detailed insight into the criminal proceedings of the time, from imprisonment and interrogation to the execution of punishment, join a couple of guides playing the roles of a Ljubljana executioner Hans and a woman accused of witchcraft called Anica, whose story is based on an actual trial for witchcraft which took place in Ljubljana at the end of the 17th century.

The tour price includes a funicular ride and admission to Ljubljana Castle.
