Shopping centres in Ljubljana
A wide and varied choice of products from well-known international brands are available in the city centre, from several department stores and countless small shops. The largest shopping centres, however, are located on the outskirts of the city.

Most of the city centre shops are open from 8:00 to 19:00 on weekdays and from 8:00 to 13:00 on Saturdays.
Suburban shopping centres are open from morning to evening on weekdays and Saturdays except for public holidays. Shopping hours are generally from 9:00 to 21:00.
Ljubljana's largest shopping centre is BTC City Ljubljana. It is one of the largest shopping centres in Europe, promoting itself as a shopping city. Apart from an extraordinarily large number of shops, it includes a water park and relaxation centre (Atlantis), a leisure centre (Arena), a multiplex cinema (Kolosej), a large number of restaurants and much more.
Value Added Tax refund
Non-European Union citizens can claim the refund of the Value Added Tax for purchases from most of the shops in Ljubljana. When you purchase a minimum of €50.00 worth of goods from a shop labelled "Tax-Free Shopping", the shop issues a Tax Refund Cheque which entitles you to receive the refund amount from the Global Blue refund office at Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport.
