Trzin
Even though Trzin is quite small, it is one of the most developed and richest towns in Slovenia.
The town has a diverse history and a rich tradition of social life. Numerous cultural, sports and other events are organised by local associations.
Among the cultural heritage monuments, the Church of St. Florian is especially worth seeing. Besides the works by artists from the famous Ljubljana Sculptural Workshop, you can also admire several smaller creations designed by the world-renowned architect Jože Plečnik.
The natural environment around Trzin is very pleasant and includes popular hiking spots such as Dobeno and Rašica. There are also several quality restaurants in Trzin. Among other dishes, they serve the Trzin Carniolan sausage, which is still prepared to traditional recipes from the 19th century.
