The Story Behind the 2024 Festive Decorations

Life is infinitely beautiful and precious. For a living being, it is all it has. With this year’s New Year’s decorations in Ljubljana, we highlight the importance and value of life, celebrating diversity and dispersion.
Without aggression or the desire for dominance, but with the wish to respect all other living beings, just as they respect us.

Explore the Festive Lights by Bus

During the festive December, Ljubljana encourages sustainable ways for visitors to reach the decorated capital while reducing car traffic in the city centre. Therefore, we invite you to explore the lights on foot, by bike, bus, train, or by car sharing.

Firecrackers, NO thanks!

In collaboration with Tam-Tam and the Municipality of Ljubljana, we are once again supporting the campaign 'Firecrackers? No, thanks!' because we know that animals would like to celebrate with us too. It is hard to be cheerful when you are scared, so let’s make sure that during the holiday season, only lights and candles are lit while firecrackers stay off.
