Sauce from aged goat cheese Orešnik
Irena Orešnik (Sirarstvo Orešnik)
Irena Orešnik from Orešnik Dairy shared with us a recipe for a simple yet wonderfully aromatic sauce made from aged soft goat cheese with mold. You can use it as a dip for bread, dressing for boiled potatoes or vegetables, or let your own creativity find some other delicious use for it.
INGREDIENTS
- 200 g aged soft goat cheese
- A bit of finely chopped zest of organic orange
- A bit of chopped fresh rosemary
- 1 chopped clove of garlic
- A bit of freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of white wine
PREPARATION METHOD
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Place the cheese on parchment paper or in a ceramic dish of similar size. Sprinkle all the listed ingredients over the cheese. Wrap the cheese in parchment paper or wrap the dish in aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. You can dip bread or slices of apple into the baked cheese, or use it as a dressing for boiled potatoes or mixed cooked vegetables.
The cheese can also be baked without any additions.
