Since 2019 Ljubljana has had its very own guide from international gastronomy experts Gault & Millau, covering not only restaurants but also a selection of the best shops, selected hotels, farm stays, microbreweries and other establishments that help make Ljubljana one of the very top gastronomic destinations.

How does the rating process work?

Anonymous reviewers visit restaurants and shops unannounced, sample what they have to offer, review their websites, rank them by quality, appearance and the friendliness of staff, and then finalise their impressions in the form of a rating.

Who are the award recipients?

The Gault & Millau Ljubljana/Ljubljana Quality award recipients include top restaurants and a range of specialist shops. The guide also includes selected hotels, popular gathering places and culinary events, in this way bringing together a comprehensive selection of the pleasures that Ljubljana has to offer.
