Australian dance group Sydney Dance Company will present two different choreogaphies: Impermanence and Love Lock

The work »Impermanence« by Sydney Dance Company is a compelling meditation on the ephemerality of life and the beauty inherent in transience. Choreographed by artistic director Rafael Bonachela, the piece effortlessly weaves together contemporary dance and elements of classical ballet, creating a visually striking and emotionally resonant performance.

»Love Lock« celebrates the power of dance to unsettle, raise awareness of social and environmental challenges, and inspire a deeper sense of responsibility for our shared world. Love reflects the desire to preserve a vanishing culture, while lock becomes a gateway into its interpretation through dance. The choreographer Melanie Lane reimagines the future of folk dance as a new creation—one that embraces cultural diversity and contemporary realities. Love Lock draws on collective experiences shaped into precise, ritualistic movement.
