One of Slovenia's leading folklore groups, the France Marolt Academic Folklore Group, which has been successfully showcasing the heritage of Slovenian folk dances both at home and abroad since 1948, will present a repertoire of Slovenian folk traditions. Their aim is to bring this heritage closer to the residents of Ljubljana and passing tourists, offering an enriching experience to their evenings spent in the city center.

At 5.30 p.m. a procession along the Ljubljana streets starts on Prešernov trg Square and moves towards Mesarski most Bridge, where the main dance performance takes place.

The dance group will perform a contemporary choreography by Anja Verderber titled “Between Mura and Drava” from the Porabje region. Additionally, an instrumental ensemble will present independently before the dance performance, playing a piece called "Sprehod," a medley of folk songs from various Slovenian regions.
