During the first meeting of the Šiška Graffiti Session, participants at the Mladi zmaji Šiška centre will learn about the history of street art in Slovenia and around the world. Under the mentorship of Mag. Fedja Šičarov, they will create a series of sketches, drawings, and paintings that will serve as a foundation for spray painting. In the first part of the session, participants will practice freehand spray painting techniques on a prepared surface. Under the guidance of an art educator, they will first complete basic spray painting exercises and techniques, then incorporate their own drawings and translate them onto a larger surface using spray paint.
The organiser, Mladi zmaji Šiška, is an urban space where music, film, art, and sports come together. Through joint projects, informal education, and workshops, they enable young people to realise their ideas and acquire new skills. With a variety of events and activities, they build a community of creative youths, encouraging peer support and intergenerational learning.
