Plečnik & a-cappella 2024: 2. concert

The second concert of the series in the unique Plečnik Church of St. Michael in Črna vas at Barje will present the programme 'Meditatones' by the vocal group Gallina, which is artistically led by Ana Erčulj and has been active for more than a decade. The church is characterised by its unusual wooden interior, the use of unusual materials and building elements, and many of the ideas of the master Plečnik.

Interesting fact: Plečnik's nephew, Karel Matkovič, was a priest and ministered in this region. He asked his uncle for a plan and carried it out in the years just before the war. Jože drew up the plan, his sister/Marija's son built it, Andrej's savings largely made the construction possible, and Janez's inheritance was later used to pay off the last debts.
