The Open Day of Ateliers is a place of Love, Art and Wandering through the interesting, diverse and wonderful world of artists.
In the courtyard, interdisciplinary artist Valerie Wolf Gang, who explores the intersection between analogue and digital media and the impact of technology on society and identity, will present her video installation.
On March 8, photographer Borut Peterlin will set up his outdoor portable darkroom in the courtyard and perform portraiture on glass plates using a 170-year-old process. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience a unique photographic process and obtain a unique portrait. The event will only take place in dry weather, and will be cancelled in case of rain.
The courtyard at the square Gornji trg 24 is surrounded by ateliers and workshops where the painter Huiqin Wang, the sculptor Dušan Tršar, the artist Karlel Plemenitaš, the mixed media artist Maja Smrekar, the sculptor Mojca Smerdu, the sculptor Dragica Čadež, the fashion designer Nika Ravnik, and the jewellery designer Martine Obid Mlakar create their work.
For LUV Fest, they will open their studio doors and present their work in the courtyard - a lawn with exhibitions welcoming the arrival of spring.
