Kamnik: Lighting of the Holiday Decorations with Concert

The festive December atmosphere will truly come alive starting Sunday, December 1st, when the city will light up its holiday decorations and the first candle on the Advent wreath will be lit. The celebration will continue with the joyful opening of the city’s ice skating rink, accompanied by a concert from the beloved Slovenian singer Marko Vozelj.

Amid the lively festivities in the city center, children will get creative with the help of Santa's little helpers, drawing pictures and writing letters with their Christmas wishes for Santa Claus himself. Santa is already busy decorating his sleigh and preparing Christmas gifts with his team. The children’s letters and drawings can be placed in a very special North Pole Santa Mailbox, which will be officially unveiled during the LIGHTING CEREMONY. All the collected letters will make their way to distant Lapland, where Santa will read each one, sort through the wishes, and send official confirmations from the North Pole to children before Christmas, ensuring their messages were received.

The Santa Mailbox will be located at the Kamnik Tourist Information Center and will remain there until December 17th. Those unable to attend the ceremony can still drop off their letters until then.
