Ennio Morricone is regarded as one of the greatest masters of film music in history. His remarkably extensive body of work brings together contrasting musical styles that have captivated directors across a wide range of film genres. In addition to his iconic film scores, he also composed symphonic works and music for theatre and radio.

At the concert dedicated to his legacy, the baton will be taken up by his son, Andrea Morricone – a renowned composer in his own right, who collaborated with his father on several acclaimed pieces. The RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra will be joined by the Italian Roma Sinfonietta Orchestra, which has been performing Morricone’s music for both film and concert settings since its founding in 1993.

The performance will be further enriched by top-class soloists: soprano Vittoriana De Amicis, winner of the Renata Tebaldi International Vocal Competition; jazz and harmonica virtuoso Luigi Mattacchione; and violinist Vincenzo Bolognese, concertmaster and musicologist specialising in the works of Paganini and Respighi.
