Elena Denisova is a Russian violinist who studied under the guidance of Valery Klimov and Oleg Kagan. In 1992, she became an Austrian citizen, where she founded the music association Classics Etcetera, the Gustav Mahler Ensemble, and has been leading the WoertherSee Classics Festival since 2002.

She describes herself as a passionate ambassador of the magic of sound, a philosophy she places at the forefront when interpreting both classical and contemporary music.

Denisova first performed at the Ljubljana Festival in 1994 and again in 2020.

For this concert, she will perform two sonatas from Johann Sebastian Bach’s series of sonatas and partitas for solo violin, which are fundamental works of the violin repertoire, alongside two sonatas by Ysaÿe, which demonstrate the development of musical techniques of the 20th century.
