The Days of National Costumes and Clothing Heritage festival, held in the old town centre of Kamnik, includes costumed processions featuring folk costumes of various regions of Slovenia and other countries.

We are pleased to present the highly anticipated program for the 51st Days of National Costumes and Clothing Heritage in Kamnik, which spans from Friday, September 6, to Sunday, September 8, 2024. During this time, our medieval town, nestled in the embrace of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, will be filled with the celebration of rich clothing heritage.

This year’s event is inspired by the slogan, drawn from the Slovenian national anthem, “Not a devil, but a neighbor shall be my border,” promising another extraordinary edition of the Days of National Costumes and Clothing Heritage in Kamnik. This traditional festival, which has captivated lovers of national costumes and cultural heritage for over half a century, once again opens its doors to collaboration and cultural exchange.

The diverse array of activities will culminate, as tradition dictates, in the Sunday parade of national costumes. Approximately 2,000 participants from Slovenia and abroad will parade through the medieval town center before an audience of tens of thousands.
