Marie Spaemann and Christian Bakanic don't need much on stage. They are able to give us a complete musical experience with just their cello, their confessional voice and their versatile accordion. Cellist and vocalist Marie Spaemann and Christian Bakanic master their instruments. They elegantly navigate through different musical genres and incorporate various traditional musical traditions into their music. Their music offers clear melodies, infectious rhythms, elements of soul and pop, variations of classical modernism and elements of folk, jazz and tango nuevo. Marie Spaemann has performed as a classically trained solo cellist with numerous orchestras around the world, but in recent years has increasingly turned her attention to her own version of 'songwriting', in which she sings original songs accompanied by her own colourful and rhythmic cello. It is this speciality that has catapulted her into the ranks of the most attractive musicians on the European music scene in recent years. In the project "Metamorphosis", together with the excellent accordionist and composer Christian Bakanic, she builds on her artistic expression.
