Cellofest Ljubljana 2024

From 19 to 25 October 2024, Ljubljana will host the fifth CELLOFEST LJUBLJANA festival, a celebration of cellists and the cello. It is a thematic music festival dedicated to the cello, consisting of two parts: a series of concerts and workshops and seminars with top national and international pedagogues. This year's Cellofest will include seven concerts in selected locations, two masterclasses with renowned foreign cello teachers and a three-day workshop for 100 of the youngest cellists from all over Slovenia. Cellofest will once again present the cello in its many variations: as a solo instrument, as a solo instrument with orchestra and piano, as a versatile instrument in entertainment music and as an ensemble instrument. One of the concerts will also feature the complete works of Ludwig van Beethoven for piano and cello. The festival will feature performances by top national and international cellists. As before, Cellofest promotes the joint performance of outstanding Slovenian cellists, thus enriching our and your cello festival in Ljubljana.
