Between the Mountains and the Sea: Slovenia in Photographs

The Photo Academy is a multi-month artistic-educational project, first held in 2020 and again in 2024. Focusing on the themes of ‘portrait’ and ‘detail,’ both professional and amateur creators explored Slovenia’s beautiful local environment, its hidden treasures, and landmarks that define us as unique and exceptional—ranging from breathtaking landscapes and cultural monuments to inspiring and successful individuals.

Among the mentors who led the workshops are renowned figures with outstanding references: Ana Gregorič, Arne Hodalič & Katja Bidovec, David Keinne, Gregor Kresal, Jaka Ivančič, Jure Kravanja, and Urška Košir. Their archival photographs, alongside works by the participants, are also displayed in the exhibition.
