5th Velike Lašče–Dobrepolje hike along the Brodnik trail

The hike is dedicated to the life of Janez Brodnik (1813, Ponikve), who, through determination and perseverance, contributed significantly to the development of the local area by building the parish church in Velike Lašče and the region’s first masonry school. Special emphasis is placed on the legacy of the Brodnik family in the local context.

Along the route, key cultural landmarks of the Velike Lašče–Dobrepolje area are presented, including the site of the “Dragon’s Nest”, where the story of the little dragon Ponikel and the dragoness Raščica is told.

New editions of the storybook about the Dragon’s Nest will also be available.
