The Tobačna 001 cultural centre, located in the premises of Ljubljana's former tobacco company, houses the Tobacco Museum and Galerija 001, a gallery hosting exhibitions of contemporary art.
Galerija 001 The Galerija 001 gallery showcases work by contemporary artists. Over the duration of their exhibitions, visiting artists usually stay in the residential part of the Tobačna 001 cultural centre.
Tobacco Museum The Tobacco Museum collection, updated in 2011 in celebration of the 140th anniversary of the foundation of Ljubljana's tobacco factory, illustrates the history of the factory and the life of its workers. It is comprised of two parts. The first part offers a chronological overview of the development of the factory, which, due to its large size, played an important role in the life of Ljubljana at the beginning of the 20th century. The second part of the collection focuses on tobacco products and products related to tobacco smoking, such as cigarette boxes, pipes, lighters, lighter holders, spittoons and the like.
