Menačenk's Homestead is a small ethnographic museum showing the cultural heritage of the small town of Domžale, well known for its long tradition of craftsmanship. The homestead, locally called "Pr' Menačn'k", was built at the turn of the 20th century as the home and workshop of a tailor's family. The interior of the house, furnished with period furniture and antique accessories, authentically reflects the life of rural craftsmen's families in the past.
The museum runs a programme of exhibitions, folk heritage evenings, and creative workshops for families.
Schedule
Monday to Friday 10:00-11:00 and 17:00-19:00 and Saturday 10:00-11:00 on the dates when exhibitions are held at the homestead. Other times by appointment.
