The first Islamic cultural centre in Slovenia is located in lower Šiška.

Due to its dazzling whiteness and extraordinary architectural design by the renowned duo Bevk Perović, the complex with a mosque is Ljubljana’s most prominent contemporary architectural landmark. The distilled beauty combined with traditional elements of Islamic architecture can leave no one indifferent.

The indoor innovation features a dome concealed under the roof. A space that can accommodate around 1,400 people serves educational, spiritual, sports and residential purposes. There is also an excellent restaurant downstairs, serving flavours of the Orient.
