Gostilna Ledinek is located on top of the Šmarna gora hill, one of the most popular hiking destinations in Ljubljana's surrounding area. The restaurant, serving traditional Slovenian dishes, is particularly well known for its 'ričet' barley stew, 'jota' bean and sauerkraut stew, sauerkraut with buckwheat 'žganci' (a traditional Slovenian lumpy dish of boiled buckwheat flour, shredded and sprinkled with melted fat), Carniolan sausage, and 'štruklji' rolls filled with cottage cheese and tarragon.
