Fužine Castle: Museum of Architecture and Design

The Museum of Architecture and Design (Muzej za arhitekturo in oblikovanje – MAO) is one of the oldest museums of this kind in Europe. The central national museum organising exhibitions and events in the field of architecture, urban planning, industrial and graphic design as well as photography is located in the Fužine Castle – the only still preserved Renaissance castle in Ljubljana.

MAO is also the organiser of the of the world's longest-running design biennial – BIO.

Schedule

Open: Tuesday to Sunday 10:00-18:00.

The museum is closed to visitors when exhibitions are being set up and on selected public holidays (1 January, 1 November, 25 December).

Free admission: Every first Sunday in the month, International Museum Day, Summer Museum Night; preschool children, disabled persons, unemployed persons, attendants, journalists, members of professional associations, ICOM card holders
