Fish Sculpture in Tivoli Park
This beloved sculpture of a fish doubles as a piece of playground equipment. It’s already been climbed on and slid down by several generations of Ljubljana residents and visitors. It was created by the sculptor and architect Vladimira Bratuž Furlan, one of Plečnik’s favourite students. The reserved and distant professor even posed for her so that she could finish a statue of him, which she began working on in secret, under the desk, during his lectures. A visit to the sculpture is a must even if you’re no longer a child.
