Visit to the Iški morost Nature Reserve
The Iški Morost Nature Reserve, located in the Ljubljansko barje Nature Park (Ljubljana Moors), is home to many exceptional bird species: Eurasian curlews, false ringlets, yellow-spotted emeralds and shy corncrakes.
Wet grasslands are a great rarity in present-day Europe and the Iški morost Nature Reserve is one of their last existing shelters. Delve into the ancient knowledge, enriched with local particularities, dating back to the prehistoric times.
The tour programme includes a visit of the Corncrake Nature Trail going around the reserve, where you will be able to experience nature at its purest and discover the local natural and cultural heritage. At the conclusion of the tour in the central observatory, which has been constructed using only natural materials, you can indulge in a variety of delicious locally produced organic delicacies.
