Together with their sister Hotel Slon, the City hotel Ljubljana was the first in Ljubljana to offer Covid-19 testing in a hotel. The mobile unit of the partner medical clinic can perform PCR testing in a hotel room, saving hotel’s guests plenty of time. The service has also proven to be an excellent solution for business guests as testing at the hotel is way faster compared to any other option available.

“Work from your hotel room” package

During the pandemic work from home has become very common. As working remotely has become a reality for many people City Hotel Ljubljana responded to these new dynamics with a package deal that includes daily stay in a modern hotel room with a designated working area and a reserved parking space in the garage. Guests can also enjoy hotel's signature in-room breakfast and a mid-day refreshing smoothie. Also at their disposal is hotel’s fitness center.

The response from the business partners has so far exceeded all expectations and proved the City hotel has addressed the right target group: daily migrants and business delegates, wanting to enrich their daily work routine.

The hotel continues to keep track of the latest trends in the global meetings industry, and is constantly striving to upgrade the quality of their guests’ experience. In doing so they rely on the internal City Safe Stay protocol, which ensures the highest standards of compliance with the National Public Health Institute guidelines. They have also obtained the Safe and Healthy at Events certificate issued by the Slovenian Convention Bureau.

During the opening week, the City hotel conference center already successfully hosted two events. A spacious green terrace at the top floor has been recognized as one of their biggest advantages as it enables safe and pleasant outdoor catering.
