First hotel of the Intercontinental chain soon to open in Ljubljana

Opening in mid August 2017, the 165-room property will operate under a management agreement with IHG, representing the continuation of a long-term partnership between the two companies.

Located in the city centre, the new hotel is set to become an urban and architectural landmark of Ljubljana. Just a stroll away from shopping and business districts, as well as the main train station, it is also within easy walking distance to the picturesque Old Town quarter along the Ljubljanica riverbanks. Around this area a number of the main city sights are found, as well as many restaurants, shops and cafes, which contribute to the Ljubljana's laid-back atmosphere and quality of life. Both congress centres and several special event venues can also be reached in less than 15 minutes on foot, which emphasizes one of Ljubljana's most remarkable traits as a destination - the compactness of a city built to the human measure.

The new hotel is to be the only 5-star property in the city and will feature, besides the rooms, also a luxurious presidential suite boasting a jaccuzzi and a fireplace. Its meeting and event space will comprise one 355 sq m banquet hall accommodating up to 400 guests, and six board rooms. Guests will have the possibility to enjoy the hotel’s state of the art leisure facilities including a swimming pool, spa and fitness zone. An all-day dining restaurant with an outdoor terrace located on the 20th floor of the hotel is set to become one of the local culinary hotspots offering panoramic views of Ljubljana on top.
