Traveldudes back in Ljubljana and its region
13 Jun 2019
Ljubljana Tourism and Traveldudes are again joining forces in a promotional summer campaign for Ljubljana and its region.
After a very successful collaboration in 2016, Ljubljana Tourism has again decided to invite a very established and renowned blog team of the Traveldudes platform comprising Melvin Böcher, Rui Dantas Rodrigues and Dave Brett to take part in its promotion.
Ljubljana Tourism has prepared a varied and active programme taking place from 12 to 17 June 2019. A three-member team will spend the first two days in Ljubljana. They will taste an extended offer of the Ljubljana breakfast at the Na Gradu Restaurant, join a licensed guide on the best bicycle tour in Europe – the Moustache Tour, visit the new accommodation facilities in Ljubljana, namely sleeping capsules in the renovated Central Hotel, embark on the Taste Ljubljana food tour at the Druga violina and recently opened Landerik restaurant in the old city centre, and round off their experience at the Open Kitchen.
They will enter the region, more specifically the Ljubljana Marshes, on a boat that will take them directly to Črna Vas where they will spend a day enjoying food and sports at the Trnulja country estate. Since the city is geared towards sustainability, we have provided an environment-friendly mobility service Avant2Go, which will take Travel Dudes to Polhov Gradec and Kamnik. They will spend a Saturday morning in Polhov Gradec at the tea party with Count Blagaj, taste honey products at the House of Honey Božnar, and in the afternoon indulge in culinary specialities of the renowned chef Luka Košir at the Gostišče Grič restaurant. The Saturday evening will end in the Korobač vegan bistro in Kamnik where Travel Dudes will taste different local beers from microbreweries. In Kamnik, they will be accommodated at the renovated MD Hotel, while they will also visit Velika Planina, the Volčji Potok Arboretum and get to know the Taste Kamnik project in the excellent Repnik restaurant. At the Mali Grad brewery, they will learn all about beer-brewing and its story.
The campaign will end in Kamnik, where they will take an Avant2Go electric vehicle and drive to the Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, where they will leave it.
