Ljubljana Tourism received awards for the promotional film "Extreme Ljubljana" at the Silkfest International Tourism & Ecology Film Festival in Belgrade, Serbia, and the Terres Travel Festival – Films & Creativity in Tortosa, Spain. These festivals are part of the competition organized by the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT), which connects 18 of the most prestigious tourism film festivals worldwide, where the best promotional films and videos showcasing tourist destinations, products, and services compete.

The promotional film "Extreme Ljubljana", created in collaboration with the agency Extrem, presents the Slovenian capital as a vibrant city offering unique sports experiences. It showcases various sporting events, from climbing, acrobatic jumps, street basketball to volleyball and dancing, all taking place in unique city center locations, attracting numerous local and international sports enthusiasts. The dynamic sports and adrenaline-filled theme is reflected in the video's production, with fast-paced scene changes, lively editing, energetic music, and engaging narration, creating a striking overall effect that particularly appeals to younger audiences and is suitable for use across various digital platforms. In just a minute and a half, the film portrays Ljubljana as a leading destination for innovative sports experiences, tailored to the expectations and demands of modern visitors, as well as an exciting location for active leisure.
 
The film won the Blue Danube award for second place in the tourism product category at the Silkfest International Tourism & Ecology Film Festival in Belgrade, Serbia, and also received a silver award in the same category at the Terres Travel Festival – Films & Creativity in Tortosa, Spain.
 
Both festivals are part of the CIFFT Circuit competition, organized by the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT), which connects 18 of the most prestigious tourism film festivals. The best promotional films and videos about tourist destinations, products, and services compete at these festivals, with the entries evaluated by an international jury. The awards contribute points towards the CIFFT ranking, which assesses creativity and effectiveness in tourism communication.
 
CIFFT is an affiliate member of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and is supported by the European Travel Commission (ETC), the Central American Tourism Agency (CATA), and the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO). It is regarded as a globally recognized platform for promoting excellence in audiovisual content related to tourism. Its mission is to maintain and foster awareness of the importance of audiovisual works in the international tourism industry.
