NEW INNOVATIVE CULTURAL EXPERIENCE - MASTER BUILDER PLEČNIK

Master Builder Plečnik is about getting to know the heritage of Jože Plečnik’s spirit, and is an experiential construct for small groups. It is made up of a complete journey along the traces of Plečnik’s plans and visions, both on land and along the river. Experienced guides help focus the attention and gaze of guests, and together with them uncover the mastery of the great architect, who led to Ljubljana being placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

At Ljubljana Tourism we are aware that new, fascinating experiences and stories are important for the modern tourist. For this reason the development of new products is focused on innovative cultural experiences for the visitor. As we enter autumn, we will therefore be offering visitors new generation experiences, for guests who expect even more. The content of the new, innovative experiential product Master Builder Plečnik is tied to the most important Slovenian architect, Jože Plečnik. The experience has been developed for groups of modern, digitally literate tourists who avoid traditional tourist services and attractions.

All in the context of an experience designed as a complete journey along the traces of Plečnik’s plans and visions, both on land and along the river. On foot, with a guide, visitors can discover piece by piece one of the greatest architects of 20th century Europe. Participants will visit exclusive and special locations that are not accessible to the general public, while at the same time they will be able to immerse themselves in the unique VR experience of Plečnik’s heritage. The guided tour of Ljubljana offers a special insight into the great vision of the Master Builder and his countless fascinating architectural details and masterpieces, which are today part of the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is a composition of stories, anecdotes, records and events from the life of Plečnik, the creator of modern-day Ljubljana.
