The Master Builder Plečnik boutique experience, dedicated to the most important Slovenian architect, received the Slovenia Unique Experiences label which is given to five-star experiences by the Slovenian Tourism Board.

The Master Builder Plečnik experience is a product of Tourism Ljubljana, which takes visitors on a journey following the traces of Plečnik's plans and visions, where they get to know his oeuvre, everything from the more famous architectural solutions, such as the Tromostovje, the market, the National and University Library, to the lesser-known, hidden or exclusive locations not accessible to the general public, including the Hell's Courtyard, Plečnik's cabinet at the Faculty of Architecture, Jože Plečnik's Gymnasium and private rooms in Plečnik's house. They also listen to stories and anecdotes from his life, and the route itself takes them both on land and along the Ljubljanica River.

Boutique, authentic, unique

That it is a unique experience of Plečnik's Ljubljana was also recognized by the members of the expert committee of the Slovenian Tourist Board that awards the Slovenia Unique Experiences label to boutique experiences. These are high-quality, distinctive, authentic, green experiences with a local character, an extremely elaborate approach and service, and a strongly expressed experiential and personal note. As the evaluators pointed out, "the Master Plečnik product can contribute to greater popularization and a more in-depth understanding of the greatest Slovenian architect." The experience brings a greater understanding of Plečnik's symbolic timelessness in architecture and also of the human duality that it still evokes in people today". As they also pointed out, "the capital undoubtedly needs a product bearing Plečnik's signature".

The Master Plečnik experience is available every Thursday starting at 1 p.m. at TIC Ljubljana.

The Slovenia Unique Experiences Label

Slovenian tourism follows the common vision of Slovenia as a green boutique destination. The unique experiences meet ten sets of five-star criteria and by being included in the selected collection, which is marketed under the quality brand Slovenia Unique Experiences, they support the story of green boutique Slovenia and the I feel Slovenia brand. The expert commission evaluates the experiences according to the existing criteria. The Field Commission evaluates only experiences that have received a total online rating of at least 8.0. Furthermore, the expert commission of experiences that are included in the Slovenia Unique Experiences collection additionally assesses the experience in practice through the following elements: sustainability, authenticity, uniqueness, innovation and the market potential of the experience.
