Ljubljana Tourism Receives Two Gold Awards for Excellence in Berlin

Tourism Ljubljana received two gold awards at the international competition and festival The Golden City Gate, which rewards the excellence of promotional and communication campaigns and innovative multimedia tools in tourism.
In the Culture and Art category, the gold was awarded to Plečnik's Ljubljana, a short video produced with the help of the Squareme agency to honor 2022, referred to as the Plečnik's year. The video shows the masterpieces of Ljubljana's greatest master architect in a way that attracts the viewers and invites them to visit Plečnik's Ljubljana, also inscribed on the UNESCO world cultural heritage list.
The second gold went to the dynamic sports video Extreme Ljubljana in the City category. It was produced by Extreme agency and presents various adrenaline sports events of a unique character, which visitors can only experience in our capital city.
The award was received by the director of Ljubljana Tourism, M. Sc. Petra Stušek. "We are happy that the creativity that we recognize, nurture and support in the city has been given this internationally recognized expression, the attention of the international media and the business and general public," said the director of Ljubljana Tourism.
ITB Berlin – Internationale Tourismus Börse Berlin is a leading tourist exchange of a global scale, which in terms of importance and size ranks at the very top of international tourist exchanges. Ljubljana Tourism was the host of animation at the Slovenian tourism stand, with the theme of the presentation having been unique experiences of traditional handicrafts in the Slovenian capital.
For the first time since 2019, the 23rd award ceremony of The Golden City Gate International Touristic Film-multimedia Festival and Competition took place live. A total of more than 100 works from 21 countries around the world were submitted to the competition, with a 45-member jury deciding on the winners. "The works convinced the jury with a great deal of creativity, professionalism and artistic approach," said the president of the festival and the jury, Wolfgang Jo Huschert, in the introduction of the awards. Award-winning products will also be broadcast on Marco Polo TV.
"For the achievement and recognition of excellence, we also congratulate the producers and everyone who participated in the creative design and production, and we thank them for their support in our vision of a lively and creative Ljubljana," adds the director, M. Sc. Petra Stušek.
