10 May 2023
Ljubljana Tourism receives the gold DIGGIT award in the category of Tourism at this year's DIGGIT competition for achievements in digital communications.
In July 2022, Ljubljana Tourism added the increasingly popular TikTok network to its portfolio of social networks, with the aim of increasing the visibility of Ljubljana as a creative and innovative destination among the younger target audience. The number of users of the TikTok profile has been growing rapidly since the very beginning, and the posts have already reached a total of 128.9 million views, 9.8 million likes, 49,000 comments and 214,200 shares, and an incredible 127,000 new followers have joined the profile. Ljubljana Tourism creates its TikTok profile in cooperation with Dunking Devils Studios.
The profile of Tourism Ljubljana achieved a breakthrough with the publication of the sports spectacle "Volleyball on the Ljubljanica". The publication achieved more than 73 million views, 3.2 million likes and more than 8,000 comments, and it brought Ljubljana exceptional promotion - not only to the capital, but also to the country and the field of sport.
The award was received at the ceremony by the director of Ljubljana Tourism, M. Sc. Petra Stušek, with the team. "The gold award for achievements in the field of digital communications is extremely important to us, as it is a confirmation of our efforts and hard work. We are happy that our creativity is gaining more and more recognition at home and around the world."
The exceptional numbers prove that Ljubljana Tourism is very successful in using its social networks as marketing tools to strengthen the brand's reputation and international recognition. Ljubljana is strengthening its position as a destination that keeps up with the times, understands trends and is also unique and sophisticated in its digital presence.
