Ljubljana Tourism received a recognition for its contribution to preserving the tradition of Posavsko štehvanje

Ljubljana Tourism, as part of a grant scheme for co-financing events organized by tourist associations, promotes the preservation of cultural heritage, ethnological and local culinary specialties, care for natural landmarks, involvement of local residents in tourism promotion activities, and adherence to sustainability principles. Within this framework, an annual cleanup event called "Za lepšo Ljubljano" (For a Cleaner Ljubljana) organized by tourist associations within the City Municipality of Ljubljana is also included.

One of the events long supported by Ljubljana Tourism is POsavsko štehvanje. This equestrian game involves riders galloping and striking a wooden barrel mounted on a pole with a metal bat. It has been organized in Savlje for 70 years and has been listed in the Register of Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2012. This year's event will take place on Saturday, June 22nd, at 4 PM along Saveljska cesta.
