The project Moja dežela – znak gostoljubnosti 2024 (My Country – a Token of Hospitality 2024) is a revamped version of the traditional competition Moja dežela – lepa in gostoljubna (My Country – Beautiful and Hospitable). Ljubljana competed in the Best Tourist Destination category, which includes destinations that collect more than €100,000 annually in tourist taxes. The gold award for hospitality went to Radovljica, and the bronze award to Podčetrtek.

Ljubljana showcased various projects that enhance the quality of its tourism offerings and promote the dispersal of tourist flows. Highlights presented by Ljubljana included the revitalization of the Center Rog and its surroundings, investment projects at Ljubljana Castle (Kazemate, restoration of the entrance bridge, and revitalization of the defensive moat), the renovation of Plečnik's Auditorium and the Waterworks Bridge, and the acquisition of a second Urban electric train. Additionally, they demonstrated activities focusing on the digitalization of tourism services and improving accessibility for individuals with disabilities.

In late August, a three-member expert panel from the Tourist Association of Slovenia evaluated the city. They assessed the quality of tourist offerings, hospitality, tidiness, quality of life for residents and visitors, and the city's efforts in environmental protection and preservation of natural and cultural heritage. The panel was particularly impressed by the operation and offerings of the Center Rog, as well as the quality of the Kavalir electric shuttle service, which they used to tour the city. They also commended initiatives aimed at Ljubljana’s residents, especially the Tourism Makes Ljubljana campaign and the Ljubljana Tourism Week project.
