Ljubljana ranked 7th in the European Best Destination 2015 competition

Ljubljana made it to the 7th place in the European Best Destination 2015 online vote which concluded yesterday. With a year's record of 244,696 votes overall cast for all of the 20 nominated destinations, Ljubljana received 13,114 votes.

The big numbers and really massive engagement was the most deciding factor in this year's competition. After three weeks of intense social media campaigning, Ljubljana made it into top 10, leaving behind such cities as Innsbruck, Milan and Brussels. The winner of this years' competition was Bordeaux which scored 42,396 votes.
