Ljubljana declared the European best green capital

The European Best Destinations organization placed Ljubljana at the very top of the selection of the twenty best green capitals in Europe. The Slovenian capital has earned the title for developing sustainable approaches to tourism as well as having excellent natural resources. The news has been published by Forbes USA magazine with 80 million readers.
European Best Destinations, part of the European Destinations of Excellence (EDEN) network, which strives to develop sustainable tourism in Europe, has announced twenty European capitals, which have been awarded the title of "European Best Green Capitals". On the scale formed by the jury for the sixth year in a row, Ljubljana took an enviable first place.
The jury was convinced by the quality of Ljubljana's air and water, extensive green areas per capita, the orderliness of public transport and cycling routes, natural tourism and the possibility of active holidays. Among the main advantages is the sustainable orientation of the Ljubljana region as a tourist destination.
Ljubljana is exposed on the first European website for the promotion of tourism www.europeanbestdestinations.com, as well as published in the American magazine Forbes USA, which focuses on finance, industry, investment and marketing, and has almost 80 million readers.
