Grandpa Frost is coming to Ljubljana

On 23 December 2023 Grandpa Frost's hut will open on Kongresni Trg Square in Ljubljana. In the festively decorated abode of the third of the December good men, elves will entertain children every day until 31 December, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (except on 24 December ). Additionally, from 26 to December, between 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., Santa Claus himself will welcome children in the hut. Each day at 5 p.m., he will embark on a carriage procession through the old city center, starting from Breg.

From 23 to 31 December, a festively decorated Grandpa Frost's hut will stand on Kongresni Trg Square, open for children to visit every day between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. (except on 24 December). During the period from 26 to 30 December, from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Grandpa Frost will be present in the hut for photos, and children can share their last New Year's wishes with him. Every day at 5 p.m., Grandpa Frost will take a carriage ride from Breg, accompanied by snowmen, bears, rabbits, and other creatures from folk tales and fairytales. He will greet children on his traditional route through Čevljarski Most Bridge, Mestni trg Square, Stritarjeva Street, Prešernov Trg Square, Wolfova Street, Kongresni Trg Square, and Novi Trg Square, with stops in front of the City Hall and on Prešernov Trg Square and Novi Trg Square. On 31 December, he will also visit children at the New Year's Eve celebration for children on Kongresni Trg Square, where the youngest ones will celebrate the arrival of the new year from 4 p.m. onwards with fairytale characters and children's music performances. They will symbolically enter the year 2024 at 5 p.m.
The festive atmosphere in the capital will be enhanced by the Ana Mraz festival, featuring an attractive artistic program of global street theater from 26 to 30 December, between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Gornji Trg Square.
From 26 to 30 December, between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m., various popular music performers will take the stage on Kongresni Trg Square, including Hamo & Tribute 2 Love, Big Foot Mama, Milica Todorović, Saša Matić, Flirrt, Vlado Kreslin and Mali bogovi, Nina Badrić, Dražen Zečić, Šank Rock, and Joker Out. The central New Year's Eve celebration will also feature performances by Rok'n'Band, Nika Zorjan, and the Victory band.
The longest night of the year can be spent enjoying various musical genres on different squares, including Trg Francoske Revolucije Square (Murat & Jose, Elvis Jackson, Neuromancer), Pogačarjev Trg Square (Mambo Kings), and Mestni Trg Square (Dinamitke and ViP Band).
