He actually said it's one of his favourite places in Europe and that it took too long before he discovered its many attractions.

See it for yourself in the video:

Apparently, he likes the relaxed atmosphere in the city, the fishing and the golf. No wonder he decided to visit Slovenia, since it has been named the Undiscovered Golf Destination of the Year 2015 by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO).

He decided to play golf in Smlednik, a town just a stone's throw away from Ljubljana. The Diners Club Ljubljana golf course is well known for its modern design and flat terrain without trees or other natural obstacles, which allows extremely dynamic play.

He spent some days in Ljubljana and its vicinity and also visited a world famous exhaust systems factory in Slovenia, Akrapovič, which he compared to a work of art.

Casey Stoner said he intends to return soon. Ljubljana will be delighted to play host to an ambassador like him!

* Casey Stoner gave this short interview to POP TV, a major Slovenian commercial television station.
