The Michelin Guide has announced the list of restaurants included in the prestigious Michelin Guide Slovenia for 2024. Among the 10 restaurants awarded a Michelin star, two are from Ljubljana or the Central Slovenia region: Strelec, with chef Igor Jagodic, and Grič, with chef Luka Košir. The latter has also received a Green Star for sustainability.

Michelin stars denote restaurants offering exceptional gastronomic experiences; they are among the most coveted and recognizable culinary accolades in the world. Among the 63 Slovenian restaurants that made it to the list are Strelec, with chef Igor Jagodic, and Grič, with chef Luka Košir. The latter has also once again received the Green Star for restaurants with sustainable practices.

The Bib Gourmand designation, awarded to restaurants offering the best value for money, went to Gostilna na Gradu. Among the 43 selected restaurants, the Pen Klub with chef Mojmir Šiftar was newly included. Additionally, the guide includes the following Ljubljana restaurants as selected: AFTR, Altrokè, Breg, B-Restaurant, Georgie Bistro, Gostilna AS, JB Restavracija, Landerik, Peti 181, Restavracija CUBO, Restavracija Shambala, and Sushimama.

Inclusion in the Michelin Guide brings additional recognition not only to individual restaurants but to Slovenia as a whole, strengthening its position on the global culinary map. Destinations listed in the Michelin Guide are popular spots for gastronomic travelers, contributing to the further development of local tourism offerings, infrastructure, and the economy.
