Are you a beer enthusiast looking to explore the vibrant brewing tradition of the Slovenian capital and the surrounding area? All while sampling some outstanding beer? Or maybe you just want to learn more about the brewing (and beer) culture? Are you curious to see whether we truly have such a large variety of beer flavours? In that case, join us for a beer tour of Ljubljana, including tastings of top quality beers from various producers based in Ljubljana and its surroundings.

Ljubljana has a very long brewing tradition, as evidenced by the 3900-year-old beer barrels found at archaeological sites in the Ljubljana Marshes just outside the capital. Records of the first brewer in Ljubljana date back as far as 1592. By the end of the 18th century, the city boasted six breweries, and by the mid-19th century their number had grown to more than fifty. Ljubljana is also the home of Union, one of Slovenia’s largest and most famous breweries.

To the delight of connoisseurs on the search for new and different flavours of beer, it is smaller, boutique microbreweries in particular that have influenced the beer tradition in Ljubljana and its surroundings in recent years.

Join us for a tasting of Slovenian craft beer, and discover some of Ljubljana’s most popular bars along the way, as you sample seven varieties of beer courtesy of five brewers from the capital and its surroundings. After a visit to the Tektonik Brewery – the home of Tektonik craft beer – the tour concludes at their in-house pub where beer tasting has evolved into an unforgettable culinary extravaganza.
