The speculative story of the sound walk performance VRToglavi VRT highlights the challenging relationship between humans and plants, where humans primarily benefit. The historical trajectory of colonialism and plant migration is based on the subjugation and exploitation of nature. In light of the ecological crisis and the need for a better future scenario, this relationship must change. VRToglavi VRT, aiming to bring us closer to the world of plants, touches on the dimension of time.

VRToglavi VRT takes us on paths of a possible future scenario for our over-stressed, noisy planet, reflecting through the development of local green routes. Can we learn something from plants for a more solidaristic future?

The audience experiences the sound work through specially developed headphones that speculate on the world and the soundscape of the future. The world is becoming too noisy and dangerous for our fragile ears, which have not adapted to aggressive frequencies. For survival in outdoor spaces, we will need headphones that mute but also sharpen the soundscape, guiding us into the desired acoustic narrative. The headphones allow simultaneous listening to the real sounds of the environment, the sound composition of the story, and the use of an EMS sound detector.
