At SIJW 2023, we will not focus on those who wear jewellery, but on the relationship that jewellery makers have with their work, with the past and the future, with themselves and with the world in which they live.
The theme CONTEMPORARY ALCHEMY - the art of transformation - is divided into three parts:
- the past - TRADITION IN JEWELLERY: cultural heritage, craftsmanship;
- the present - SUSTAINABILITY IN JEWELLERY: sustainable materials, recycled materials;
- the future - SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY IN JEWELLERY: jewellery and robotics, artificial intelligence, digitisation.
The event will feature contemporary jewellery by more than 50 designers. This is a sustainable and culturally educational event that combines exhibitions, courses, workshops, lectures, and guided tours.
