The Elinor Vocal Ensemble is one of the most prominent Slovenian vocal ensembles. The singers recreate Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic and contemporary choral literature. The word Elinor comes from the Hebrew word Eleanor, which is made up of two elements: 'el', meaning god, and 'or', meaning light. Elinor therefore means 'God is my light'. In Greek, Elinor means 'Shining Light'. At the concert in the Great Reading Room of the National and University Library, the ensemble will present the programme Triptych, which has been specially designed for the occasion and will combine three thematic parts that form a sensual and aesthetic whole: the Moment, the Mother and the Fatherland.
